How to use UniReview without headache
Everything you need to know before course registration: whether a subject is a GPA booster or GPA killer, how much carry marks you need, and which lecturer to pick or avoid.
How to Find Your Courses
Don't waste time scrolling everything. Use the top bar and side tabs:
Pick your Faculty, then select your Programme / Major. Only courses relevant to you will appear.
Select your Syllabus Version (e.g. 2026/2027 New Curriculum or Legacy Syllabus) to see the exact structure tailored to your intake.
Click Year 1, 2, 3, or 4 for core subjects. Tap General Courses for MPU/university requirements, or tick "100% Coursework" to filter subjects without exams.
What the 4 Course Metrics Mean
Inside any course page, you will see a Metrics Overview Dashboard right at the top. Here is how seniors evaluate them:
Did seniors actually learn practical skills, or was it purely memorizing outdated slides?
1-2: Straightforward concepts.
4-5: Very abstract math/theory, killer quizzes, tricky final exam.
1-2: Chill semester.
4-5: Massive group project, weekly lab reports, midnight oil burn.
How lenient the lecturer marks rubrics. High score means generous carry marks and easier A/A-.
The colored bar displays the split (e.g. CW 60% / Final 40%). CW 100% means zero final exam—you finish assignments before study week!
How to Review a Course & Lecturer
Help your juniors survive! Inside any course, click the blue "+ Review" button.
1. Select Instructor: Pick who taught your section.
2. Rate Course: Sliders for Overall Stars, Difficulty, and Workload.
3. Rate Lecturer: Clarity, Grade Friendliness, Approachability, and whether you'd take them again.
4. Tags & Advice: Choose tags like #Heavy Project, #Generous Grader, and write authentic survival tips.
How to Add or Edit Faculties & Programmes (Click "Manage")
Can't find your Faculty (e.g. Faculty of Science) or Degree Programme (e.g. AI / Biomedical)?
You don't need admin permissions to add them! UniReview allows any student to keep the university directory up-to-date:
At the top dark filter bar, click the blue/gray Manage button.
- To Add Faculty: Key in the Faculty Name (e.g. Faculty of Science) + Code (FS) and click
+ Add. - To Add Programme / Major: Click on your faculty from list 1, then enter your Major Name (e.g. Artificial Intelligence) + Code (AI) under section 2.
- You can also Rename or Delete misspelled items instantly!
Assigning Instructors & Cross-Faculty Subjects
Don't see your lecturer under a subject?
- Inside the course page, tap "+ Assign".
- Search your lecturer's name and tap "Assign".
- Now peers can evaluate them specifically for this subject.
Courses like Engineering Math are shared across multiple faculties:
- When adding/editing a course, tick all applicable Faculties.
- The Programmes list dynamically filters to let you check off all relevant degree majors.
How to Submit Feedback, Bugs & Suggestions
UniReview is built by students, for students. If you notice a glitch or have an idea to make the system better:
A floating yellow Feedback button is pinned to the bottom-right corner for quick, thumb-friendly access.
Click the Feedback button in the top navigation bar. No floating buttons will clutter your screen.
Something is broken, course codes duplicated, or a button isn't responding. Tell us what happened and we'll fix it!
Got an idea to make UniReview cooler? (e.g. past-year questions, GPA forecast calculator, section-specific filters).
